Beginner Mountain Bike Skills
Mountain Biking is a fun sport that can be enjoyed by anyone who knows how to ride a bicycle. Compared to riding an average bicycle, it does present some danger. Therefore, you must master this basic skill before crashing into a trail or land. You can practice these initial skills in a local park, school, bicycle path, or just around your home. If you can, try to find a location with a steep hill.
Feel your pedal
Practice moving your foot from the pedal, first while sitting on a bicycle with one foot on the ground. Next, keep releasing and replacing your feet when pedaling for a little. Those who have foot clips and foot clips without clips want to spend more time practicing.
Sit and rotate for position
Simply sit on a bicycle and pedal. You have to keep your arms slightly bent. You also have to adjust the height of your seat so that your feet are extended to 70 percent at the bottom of each step on the pedal. Change gears

You must feel as comfortable as possible by pedaling while standing on your bicycle. Try lifting yourself up from the chair while standing on the pedal, then turn the crank. You should try this in higher teeth on flat ground then in lower teeth when on the hill.
Drop the sidewalk
Try to find a sidewalk where you can easily reach the top. Practice at medium speed, stand and glide directly from the edge of the road from the top to the bottom. Try this at different speeds until it becomes a habit.
After you practice these techniques and master them, you will be able to find comfortable paths with your mountain bike. Even though you may need to get used to it, it will become a habit before you know it.
